SWF undone by table topping Ipswich on a gloomy afternoon in Suffolk

The lads travelled to table topping Ipswich after their disappointing performance last week in hope of rediscovering some form which was much needed as the form team so far in the league Ipswich, were going to be a tough proposition at Ipswich.
The game was only 5 minutes old when a 5 metre scrum in the SWF 22 gave Ipswich their first try of the afternoon which was converted to leave SWF trailing 7-0. A period of poor play from SWF with too many missed tackles followed and over the next 20 minutes the very dangerous Ipswich back line threatened to really cut loose and in the process scored another 2 tries, but in fairness they could have scored more but for some good last ditch defence. So at the 23rd minute SWF were 19-0 down and Ipswich were in complete control.
The only real success for SWF was coming from the scrum area and due to an increased effort SWF were more competitive for the rest of the half, but still in snippets the Ipswich back line were looking to punish any loose play, but the score remained at 19-0 at half time.
For the first few minutes of the second half SWF were looking to go forward and were unlucky to suffer an interception try in the 43rd minute when the Ipswich number 8 intercepted on his own 22 line to run the ball in despite the winger Price making a valiant effort to make up the ground, this was quickly followed by a converted try 2 minutes later for Ipswich which left no real way back for SWF. However SWF again stepped up their game particularly in the forwards and all the forwards were carrying well over the gain line and controlling the ball well, thus starving the Ipswich backs of the ball who were still looking dangerous all over the pitch.
It was 25 minutes before the next score which went to Ipswich and saw them lead 36-0. Again SWF came on strong and when the Ipswich number 10 tried a cheeky chip instead of clearing his line second row Tighe caught the ball and went under the posts for the only SWF try of the game. Greg had done his fair share of ball carrying so he deserved this gift and Adam converted. Ipswich had the last word when they scored the last try of the game in the 77th minute to leave the final score Ipswich 43 SWF 7
Although beaten by the superior team their was some good individual performances and a refusal to lie down which will stand the team in good stead for the rest of the season
