Physically, WoodBurns were the underdogs but they defended with all their might, and attacked the Chingford Line at every opportunity.
Despite being the smaller side with only 15 players available, WoodBurns were better in the scrum and line-out and competed well in the breakdowns.
Ultimately the back line shone through, with a hat-trick of tries out wide on the wing for Thomas Courts, receiving long bullet passes that Fin Russell would be proud off.
Nifty scrum half Dan Bowers sealed the game with a majestic show and go for a converted try, to the delight of players, coaches and supporters.
Back-to-back wins mean that WoodBurns end the season just below mid-table, following a tough season which has seen the team disrupted by injury and unavailability due to GCSE coursework & mock exams.
We wish all the team good luck for the remainder of their exams and thank them for their efforts whilst representing the WoodBurns.
