First home game of the season

This week the U11’s played Basildon, we played 2 games and in the first started well with good movement and passing the ball well, and their scrummaging was good and the tries came in both half’s. Woodham won the first game of the season quite convincingly.
The second game Basildon played much better and pushed the boys much harder. They brought on a few bigger players and we had to tackle much harder, again the passing was good and with a few strong carriers sucking in the Basildon defence. Our faster players were able to run in the tries, and in the second game we took the win even though Basildon put up a much stronger fight.

This week it was a hard decision but in the end Jack Carr was our player of the week, he had retained the ball well in contact and had made some strong straight runs and scored tries.

All in all a great start to the season 2 games 2 wins well done boys
