Cracking day with good weather greeted the SWF U7s at the Braintree Festival on Sunday. We turned up with our full squad of 11 players and supplied 2 teams.

Each team.played 5 games each over 3 hours and even.played each other.( more about that later....). Lots of fantastic tagging, hounding and weaving runs yielded early wins for both teams against opposition we have played against over the season already.

Then came the head to head clash... coaches vs coaches, assistants and parents on the sidelines voicing support and friendly banter. The teams played brilliantly against each other beit slightly over competitive at times with a close win for Gerry team over James team. I felt sorry for the poor ref caught in the middle of this friendly SWF duel!.

Overall a great performance by all the team with 7/10 wins combined result. Well deserved Medals and Ice Creams followed. A great way to end a very good first season together and the future looks bright for SWF.

Many thanks to the Coaches and assistants, players a their parents over the season.
