Away to Billericay

This weeks game was away to Billericay and finally we found a pitch as wet as ours.

The day started wet and carried on getting wetter, but all the parents and boy that turned up just got on with it and kept moving.

After a warm up and sorting out the teams we played 2 teams of 5 and Billericay put out 3 teams as it was cold and wet the coaches decided to keep the games moving and we played 5 minute half's.

Billericay put on a great show and really gave us a great match and it was end to end stuff and our boys really did well in every game with several 7 tag turnovers and lots of tries, the rushing was getting better and the passing was so improved but most of all the running and support play was great with lots of follow up tries.

At least 4 of the boys got multiple tries in each game and all the boys scored tries and the tagging was ferocious.

We ended up playing 5 games and we won all of them a real achievement considering how well Billericay played.

There was no player of the week as it was too cold to hang around and the clubhouse was very inviting, and Id like to say a big thank you to Billericay for a great match and good hot food for the boys after the match.
