Away at Thurrock

This weeks game was away to Thurrock on arrival it was hard to see the end of the pitch as it was so foggy, cold and damp, then 10 of our boys turned up and started training they were lively and ready to play. Thurrock loaned us 2 players and that allowed us to play 2 teams, we ended up playing 6 games and after the last outing against Rochford we were not sure what would happen but we need no of worried as we played really well running in lots of tries and playing well in defence and tagging time and time again. Thurrock were really well drilled and played a really great game, but after we had played 6 games we had won 3 and drawn 3 the draws being 9-9 6-6 and 4-4 and our wins only being 2 or 3 point wins. This Sunday we will be working on the off side and rushing aspects of the game, the boys were getting big rewards this week when they rushed but didn't rush often enough but its getting better. We heard this week that felix had trapped his hand in a car door and will be out for several weeks. this week all the boys got a mention and it was very hard to pick a player of the week but the honour finally went to Thomas his supporting play earned him several tries well done Thomas. next week me and Robert will not be around Robert will be on parade for Remembrance Day, so have a good week and see you in 2 weeks when we will be at home to Wanstead / Harlow so see you all then.
