Last Game for U8's for 2013

Whilst the parents descended on the top pitch at Burnham, which has great views of the river Crouch but can be very cold on a biting and windy day. Thankfully the wind dropped and the sun tried to come out on what proved to be a good final week for the team.

The team played four games The Tigers (John and Paul's Team)

First game was a draw against Thurrock 5-5
Kieron scored 3 tries with Oren and Josh also scoring.
The team were very unlucky not to win with some refereeing decisions that looked a little harsh on the team.

Second Game was a tale of two halves with the Tigers losing finally 6-3 to Burnham. This was after they lead in the first half. Josh and William scored the tries.

The Lions (Sean's team)

First game was against Burnham which was a narrow defeat at 6-4 with the boys again leading in the first half. The game was to be very close until the final moments when Burnham got a turnover on their own try line from one of our attacks and went on to score and settle the game.

The Second game was a win against Thurrock at 9-7

Again a very close game with Nate scoring 2, Woody 1, Jacob 2, Amelia 1, Matthew 1 and Jake 1. All six scoring - well done. It was a well deserved win after the narrow loss in the previous game.

Everyone came off smiling with Man of the match awards going to Kieran, and Oren (black eye), Wig of the Week went to Dihan and the Xmas awards for Tags of the week went to Josh and Tries of the week went to Nate.
