SWF v Stanford

SWF v Stanford
Today the boys played 2 great games with some super defence and great attacking play.

In the first game the Wasps took on Stanford running in 4 tries, taking 31 tags and forcing 2 x 7 tag counts and getting the turnover each time they defended well and had some great runs, a great team effort to end up winner by  4to 2.

The second game was the Sharks they attacked very well and run in 7 tries and got 21 tags including a 7 tag count to get the turnover with some great defence and winning the game 7 to 2.

In both games the boys were stronger in the second halfs.

The coaches did a great job of warming the boys up and keeping them moving and motivated before and between games in the very cold conditions so well done them too.

Player of the week was Rowan.

Next week is festival week with one team going to the Saracens festival and another team going to the Essex festival at Southend.

The club had to put up a deposit to secure entry to the Essex festival and will not get it back if we do not have a team to play in the u8s, so please ensure we all get to these festivals if you have any problems please let Del know ASAP.

Don't forget the funny hats competitions, winners to be chosen by the coaches.

We will be at these festivals representing SWF rugby club so let's show everyone what great teams we are.
