The U9s travelled to Romford and Gidea Park RFC

The weather was dry, with soft ground underfoot, but a stiff wind brought an added challenge for the team.

All the players put in a great shift in the two games we played.

In the first game we focused on passing and off loading the ball at the tackle which they carried out well, even though it was really windy we still kept the ball.

In the second game we continued with the off loading, but had a further focus on tackling early. This the players listened to and were tackling better. We even got a few turnovers via the seven tackle rule to regain possession of the ball.
The coaching team were proud that as a team they all put in a huge effort and are all improving their game play each week.

Medals could have been handed out to all the players but this week the Medal winners were:

Leo, for really tackling well and showing great resilience and determination. Even when a bit hurt he still wanting to get back on the pitch and get stuck in.

The other was Harry T. Today as captain, he showed great leadership, keeping all the team included in the game, giving them the chances with the ball and putting in a great effort himself on the pitch.

Jake, Charlie, Olly, Dan, Archie, Luke, Harry S and Henry. All winners!!!

Next week we have Training and the following week our last match of 2019 away to Southend before the Christmas break and back to it in the new year.
