Harlow Festival with the U9's

The U9 team attended the first festival of the 2019 season at Harlow. The full squad of 12 players were in attendance to a play a round robin tournament of 5 matches against teams from Harlow, Epping & Upper Clapton, Upminster, Westcliff and Old Grammarians.

The weather stayed dry but the recent rain made perfect conditions for playing rugby.

This season saw the boys moving to full contact and this being only their second outing, they embraced the opportunity to take their game to the next level and to put their new skills into practice.

Throughout their matches, the boys played with passion and pride. Some great passing of the ball was made with supportive player demonstrated by all. Tackles were made, and try scores in abundance on both sides.

There’s still some work to be done with committing to the tackle, but overall it was an excellent performance from the team. Well done to Charlie, Daniel, Harry S, Leo, Jake, Jacob, Henry, Archie, Marshall, Luke, Oliver and Harry T.
