U10’s Saracens festival

On the morning of Saturday the 28th October the U10s of South Woodham Ferrers RUFC arrived at Allianz park to play at their first tournament of the season.
They arrived no a cold morning to play 3 other teams:-

Sevenoaks RFC.
Bishop Stortford RFC.
Maldon RFC.

Their first game was at 11 o’clock against Sevenoaks RFC they were a good team that moved the ball well and rucked over very quickly this allowed them possession and they scored 3 tries before SWF got 2 back, but we had started slow and were finding it hard to get back into the game and eventually lost this game.

The second game against Bishops Stortford RFC this was a much better game for Woodham and they tackled and rucked and out scored Bishops Stortford winning the game and were feeling very good at the work they had done.

Our last game was against our old foe Maldon RFC this was a very close game with both teams doing well and with our team being smaller in size it was a great effort and our tackling was ferocious, but at the end of a hard fought game it was just edged by Maldon.

This is now the 4th time this team have been to a Saracens festival and the boys have played well each time and putting in a great effort doing our club really proud and showing they can play against the best in the game.

The Saracens festival is not just about winning it is scored on the Honesty, Work rate, Energy and side line culture of the teams.

After taking all the scores from all 3 games we came 1st in our group, and after adding up all the scores in all the groups we came 3rd over all a really great effort from a great team of players they were excellent on the day and a credit to their club. Come on you woods
