Woodham face a tough local friendly

This week the boys were away against Burnham. This local friendly was to be a tough match for Woodham who were up against a mixed U10 & U11 team.

Everyone from Woodham were praying not to be on the top pitch as it was a cold morning with a strong wind. Thankfully the players nor the parents had to endure the top pitch this visit.

Burnham were the stronger side showing the experience brought with the U11's in the pack and holding their positions well.

Woodham were 3-0 down at the end of the first half. Woodham dug in and started to pull the game back, but Burnham proved to be the stronger side finishing 5-4 on the refs final whistle.

The second match saw Burnham dominate the Woodham team. No matter how hard they tried Burnham stopped them moving forward, and punished Woodham at every opportunity. The only Woodham try coming from Ross, Burnham taking the match 4-1.

Next week is the last session before Christmas and were at home for training. Make sure your wearing something Christmas related, and we'll see most of you at the Christmas Party on Saturday from 2pm.
