This would be the first time that Woodham have played Ongar, and it would be an away fixture giving Ongar the home advantage.
Ongar won the toss and elected to start. They were immediately applying the pressure to Woodham and were far more organised with support players available for the offload.
Woodham struggled to get going for the first half of the game. Although there was the odd flash of last weeks play around the breakdown from the likes of Josh R. Woodham too often got a support player to the breakdown only to stand still a let Ongar win the ball.
The second half saw a better organised Woodham start to compete for the ball, aided by the down hill advantage. Oliver, Ross and Archie pushing through the first tackles to gain ground, only being slowed on the 2nd and 3rd tackle. The score at the end of the match was 5-3 to Ongar.
After a short break the 2 teams commenced battle again. A similar match to the first but Woodham holding their own in defence and at the breakdown. Score at the end of the match was 3 a piece.
Next week we are away at the Prima Tigers Cup in Newmarket, along with a mini tour.
