Woodham beaten by a strong Burham side

This weeks match against Wanstead was cancelled during the week due to a mix up which saw Wanstead travel to the Thurrock festival. Paul managed to get a home match against a mixed Burnham team for the second match of the season for the boys.

The boys played 2 matches. The first half of the first match it seemed like the Woodham boys were still asleep and after a few words from coach Mark, the second half saw a marked improvement. Score at the end of the game was 7-4 to Burnham.

The second Match saw much of the same strong Burnham side, dominating the Ruck and Maul, and easily ripping the ball from Woodham. Woodham also missed a number of tackles in both the first game and again in the second, and suffered with giving up the ball too cheaply. That said the Burnham side were far stronger than Woodham, and the rucking from the team improved this week. Final score was 6-4 to Burnham

Particularly strong this week were Harvey, Archie, Oliver and Ross, the latter winning Player of the Week for his effort and strong running at the opposition.

This coming week we are at home against Bishops Stortford, with a 10am meet.
