Witham Away

We managed to get a fixture away to Witham after Rochford went to Westcliff. 10 –aside with 5 man scrums.
Our Team was : Alfie, Brad, Charlie, Dexter, Edward, Harry, Hayden, Keith, Luca, Tobi
Six weeks since our last game, and it showed as we were rusty in the early stages of the first half. Witham took the initiative and got over the try line. The Team came back for that and started playing some good go forward rugby. It was direct and that still suited the opposition more than it did us.
Tobi, Brad, Dex and Noah were leading the line. Everyone contributed well, although we did stop for a short coaching moment when Witham ran a free pass in from 10metres with us all still on our line. We are better than that!
Everyone got stuck in, and in the second half Luca managed to get his hands on the ball a few times. That meant a few tries. The game went back and forth with both Teams carrying strongly and rucks being messy affairs. The heart and desire from everyone was there to see.
