Communication is the key

A much brighter training session today…weather included! Training included some passing drills to wake the boys up before tackle drills. The lads then split into forwards and backs to practise specific skills. Then it was game time!
This Sunday’s teams were:
A: Jack B (c), Josh, Stan, Alfie, Jake, Kenny, Peter and Jake
B: James (c), Charlie, Dan, Tom, Archie, William and Louie
This week communication played a huge part in the scoring of tries. It was lovely to see the lads to try different combinations and tactics in response to the opposition’s play. This means they are beginning to watch and adapt the play to their advantage. The lads continue to take the ball forward as practised in training. Again, the support after the first touch was invaluable and resulted in many tries being scored. Many players are now showing game awareness enabling them to be in the right place at the right time. It was good to see a few parents stay for food and drink after training today; the clubhouse needs our support as much as we can, however big or small. Training is on for Wednesday so look forward to seeing you all there.
