16/17 Season off to a great start

A great start to the season this week with the first training session and 2 new Players coming along. A warm welcome to both Louis and Jody, and we hope to see you both on Thursday for fitness training.

The boys were taken through the new rules that come in this season, along with some information for them and the parents on the changed time and new process now that we have stepped up to Youth Rugby. This season SWF are in U13's League Division 3 along with Thurrock, Benfleet, Billericay, Dagenham, Campion, Epping & Upper Clapton, Harlow and Wanstead. The boys were also measured up for their new kit and provided with a Tie for the after match attire.

It was then on to business with the boys taken through a 15 minute warm up, before undertaking refreshers around the Ruck, Maul and Tackle. All the coaches were impressed with the effort form the boys and tackling was good, with support building over the session in the Rucks and Mauls.

A truly positive start tot he season, which if the boys continue in the vain that they did today should prove to be an exciting season ahead.

Fitness starts this Thursday at 19:00 for an hour at the club with James from Effective Exercise.
