Known as Woodburns, the barbarians squad formed in 2021 and is comprised of players from three local clubs; South Woodham Ferrers RFC, Burnham on Crouch RFC and Witham RFC.

Since the beginning of the season the players have bonded through training and Cup matches. Training and matches are rotated around between the three club grounds, achieved with tremendous support from parents.

The foundation for the team is the games own core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. It is a work in progress, but efforts by all involved are now starting to pay off with some great games to watch. The team have gone from strength to strength as the season has progressed.
