Saturday's final Counties 2 Essex (North) game of the season marked the end of an era for two of South Woodham Ferrers RFC's club stalwarts.

Retiring prop Neil Gittos has held the club captaincy in 2023/24, while winger Warren Duggan marked his last match with a second half try against Harwich & Dovercourt at Saltcoats Park.

South Woodham Ferrers led 19-17 at half time, but the visitors proved too strong in the second half as they took the win.

The result means that South Woodham Ferrers end the 2023/24 season without a league victory in Counties 2 Essex (North).

Thanks to everyone for your support, and too all the players & coaching staff for your efforts during the season.

Our Youth & Minis seasons continue, while we will host a club Presentation Day on Saturday June 8 at Saltcoats Park for teams across all our age groups.
