Today the under 9's were playing Harlow away. It was a beautiful morning and all the kids were looking forward to playing together after the Easter Break.

The first game was very evenly matched and we came off at half time in the lead. The second half we were following the ball a little too much and not keeping our strong defensive line which allowed Harlow through for the winning try. SWF 4 Harlow 5.

The second game SWF came out with a lot more confidence, our tackles were strong and with some great movement through the Harlow defense from Grace, and a great run from Callum (which was so nearly a try) we won comfortably. SWF 5 Harlow 1.

SWF are becoming aware of each others strengths and starting to realise who should have the ball and when. They showed great team work and deserved to win the game but it was not to be, and Harlow got the try in the last play. SWF 3 Harlow 4.

We welcome Charlie to the team who did great playing in his first Rugby match.

Today's player of the match went to Grace for always being in the right position and having great awareness which resulted in two tries.
