Minis query on Barking Festival
Notes - All league fixtures have now been updated to take
account of relegation/promotion/dropouts etc so can
all coaches please check their own details and make sure
you note any changes.
Kick offs - all home games are in red
- Minis always k/o at 10am finish at 11.45
When minis are
training/playing at home Youth games will be scheduled for 12 noon
When minis are
away league games take precedence but all games should be able to go at
11 EXCEPT when
ESSEX CUP matches
are drawn at home in these cases we will nearly always have to go off at
11 because ref is
brought
in from outside.

SEASON 2008 - 2009
Dear member,
Welcome back
everybody to a new season at South Woodham Ferrers Rugby Club; we are
pleased to have you back. This year has seen a slight raise in the
subscriptions cost which is still very good value against other sports I
could mention. We are a family club and are well aware of the current
financial climate that we are all experiencing. Every child matters to
us, by joining South Woodham Ferrers you have just extended your family,
we may not agree all the time but we will stick together to do the
utmost for our own.
Over the
summer break we all have had a chance to rest and reflect on the
previous season.
The Mini and
Youth section has raised the bar with success at Essex Festivals and
week on week home and away games. Through individual progression and a
high standard of quality coaching we have players representing us at
Essex County Rugby level. I am sure you will all join me in wishing all
the squads good luck with the season ahead putting the name of our club
on everyone’s lips in Essex.
South Woodham
Ferrers Rugby club is very proud to have Every Squad from under 6s to
under 17s, three senior teams, a vets side and now boast a Women’s Touch
Rugby Team. Information regarding all these squads can be found on the
club website www.southwoodhamferrersrugby.co.uk.
Standards
have been raised by all those who work behind the scenes. You will see
that the Rugby Sports & Social Pavilion Committee have just had the
clubhouse repainted for the coming season allowing us to have a wall
space for squad pictures from minis upward. As a club we have high
expectations and will strive for success in all areas.
All our
members both young and old have a responsibility to this club, whether
on or off the pitch, in how we conduct ourselves. Our behaviour is a
direct reflection on South Woodham Ferrers Rugby Club. This comes down
to us all reading the conduct laws laid down by the RFU to promote good
conduct that’s a players code, a spectators code and a referee’s code.

South Woodham
Ferrers rugby club is run by dedicated volunteers. We all give up a lot
of free time to support our children, in doing so you may feel drawn to
volunteering yourself, Great! Don’t be shy please make this known to
your child’s coach and then we can get you on the road to playing a more
active part in the best pastime sport can offer.

Rugby Club and here is wishing you good luck this season, to all our
