CONDITIONS OF USE FOR
PAVILIONS/CHANGING ROOMS/FACILITIES
1. Although Chelmsford
Borough Council has for the last few years operated a “No Smoking”
policy within its buildings, from 1st April 2007 NO SMOKING will be
permitted in
the pavilions and changing
rooms, hallways, or indeed at the entrances and exits of our
buildings. Failure to comply with this condition, will result in the
immediate withdrawal
of future facilities for
your club.
2. Alcohol is not permitted
in Council buildings.
3. Boots must be removed at
the entrance of the building and should not be cleaned within the
building. Boots and other excessively muddy clothing should not be
washed or shaken off in the building, sinks or showers.
4. Any damage other than
normal minor wear will not be accepted.
5. Whereas a certain amount
of dirt, dust, mud or other debris is expected within the context of
sport, excessive mud or dirt marks on the floors, walls or ceilings
is not permitted.
6. Chelmsford Borough
Council will not accept poor/inadequate standards of
behavior, language and
attitude towards other users, the public or our staff.
7. Clubs hiring our
pitches/facilities will be held responsible for the behavior of
their
visiting team, all
conditions of use apply.
8. No users are to display
flags, signs, etc., without prior permission from the Sports Booking
office at Parks and Heritage Services, Chelmsford Borough Council.
9. Adequate parking for the
use of our facilities is provided, users must ensure they
use this parking facility
and should refrain from parking along adjoining residential
roads.
10. If a user has organised
and agreed with Chelmsford Borough Council to use a
pavilion/park for a special
sports event, the organiser must ensure adequate
marshalling along the
adjoining residential roads/car parks to facilitate courteous
and responsible parking.
They must also ensure any litter due to their event is
cleared and taken away.
11. Litter bins have been
provided to take waste produced as a result of normal
sports use. Users should
ensure they remove litter from the pitches and sports
pavilion after use.

13. It is the responsibility
of the club to ensure that all its members are made aware
of our conditions of use and
any breech of these conditions may result in further
bookings being withheld.
Usage of the facilities is strictly monitored by our resident
caretakers and any misuse
will be recorded and may result in the person(s)/club(s)/organisation(s)
being refused further bookings.
Any costs relating to damage
or misuse will be recovered by Chelmsford
Borough Council.
