Player,
Subscriptions/match fees
As last year, the
Committee has decided that players’ annual subscriptions and the
weekly match fees should be paid by way of standing order or in one
lump sum up front. The reason for this is to help increase the
amount of income coming into the club and also for ease of
administration for the team captains. It also produces income to
the club on a more regular basis. This does not mean, however, that
players will pay more than if paying weekly. In fact, if you pay by
standing order the average player should save money (as against the
weekly charge) and even more if paid in one lump sum. The details
are as follows:
A. For an
ordinary playing member, the cost for the season in annual
membership and all match fees is:
8 monthly payments
(September 2008 to April 2009) of £22.50 each. Total cost is
£180.
Alternatively, you can
pay £170 in one go during September.
B. For a
student playing member, the cost for the season in annual
membership and all match fees is:
8 monthly payments
(September 2008 to April 2009) of £13 each. Total cost is £104.
Alternatively, you can
pay £90 in one go during September.
There may still be a
few people who play only very occasionally. For those, the facility
of paying the annual membership fee (£50) and the match fee for
every game played (£7) will remain but for all regular players we
expect everyone to use either the lump sum or the standing order
option.
Standing order forms
are available and whoever gives you this letter will also have a
supply of those forms. The procedure for completing the form is set
out on the back of this letter.

Procedure for completing standing order forms
1. Insert your bank name and address at the top.
2. Fill in YOUR bank and account details in the left hand
side boxes (“Account to be debited”).
3. Under the
“Beneficiary Details”, insert your name in the Reference box - there
are 13 spaces available. This is the information that will be shown
on the club’s account, so insert enough details so that the
Treasurer knows who you are.
4. You can pay
on either the 1st or 14th of the month.
Please insert the day in the Date of First Payment box AND the same
day in the Date of Last Payment box. Do not complete the
middle boxes.
5. Sign the form and date it.
6. Send or hand the form in to your bank.
7. Please
notify the Treasurer that this is how you wish to pay and that you
have sent the form to your bank. You can phone, email or post – see
details on the front of this letter.
