Dear Player
Subscriptions and match fees
It has been decided by the Committee
that players’ annual subscriptions and the weekly match fees should
be paid by way of standing order. The reason for this is to help
increase the amount of income coming into the club and also for it
to be paid on a regular basis. This does not mean, however, that
players will pay more. In fact, if you agree to pay by standing
order the average player should save money. The details are as
follows:
A. For an ordinary playing
member, the cost for the season in annual membership and all
match fees is:
8 monthly payments (September 2007
to April 2008) of £20 each. Total cost is £160.
Alternatively, you can pay £150 in
one go during September.
B. For a student playing
member, the cost for the season in annual membership and all
match fees is:
8 monthly payments (September 2007
to April 2008) of £12 each. Total cost is £96.
Alternatively, you can pay £80 in
one go during September.
There may still be a few people who
wish to pay the membership fee and the match fee for every game
played and this facility will remain but we would encourage everyone
to use the standing order option. The full membership fee is £50
and match fees are £7 per game.
Standing order forms are available
elsewhere on the club website. The procedure for completing the
form is also explained.

Procedure for completing standing order forms
1.
Insert your bank name and address at the top.
2. Fill
in YOUR bank and account details in the left hand side boxes
(“Account to be debited”).
3. Under the “Beneficiary
Details”, insert your name in the Reference box - there are 13
spaces available. This is the information that will be shown on the
club’s account, so insert enough details so that the Treasurer knows
who you are.
4. You can pay on either the
1st or 7th or 14th of the month.
Please insert the day in the Date of First Payment box AND the same
day in the Date of Last Payment box. Do not complete the
middle boxes.
5. Sign
the form and date it.
6. Send
or hand the form in to your bank.
7. Please notify the Treasurer
that this is how you wish to pay and that you have sent the form to
your bank. You can phone, email or post – see details on the front
of this letter.
NB: If you are paying for a
full season you must make 8 payments of £20. If you do not start
your standing order during September, you will have to make your
last payment during May 2008.
